Maysan: Naft Maysan achieved an important victory over their guest Al-Talaba with a score of 2-0 in the match held this evening at Maysan Stadium as part of the seventh round of the Iraqi Stars League.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Talaba player Hussein Jabbar was sent off after receiving a red card for deliberately striking a Naft Maysan player, leaving Al-Talaba to play with ten men from the 26th minute. Naft Maysan took the lead with a header from Ali Latif in the 76th minute, and professional player Alioune Mbaye added a second goal in the 82nd minute, ending the match with a 2-0 victory for Naft Maysan.

Naft Maysan raised their points tally to 7, placing them in sixteenth position, while Al-Talaba’s points remained at 6, placing them in seventeenth position.
