Nagelsmann Steps Down as Germany Coach, Klopp Eyed as Successor

Berlin: Julian Nagelsmann has resigned as coach of the German national team, just four days after their elimination from the Round of 32 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup against Paraguay.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, According to Bild and Sky, Nagelsmann, 38, who was under contract until the summer of 2028, agreed to the German Football Association's request to step down from his role. This decision came after a three-hour meeting on Thursday, which focused on the team's recent World Cup exit.

The process to find Nagelsmann's replacement is expected to commence swiftly, with Jrgen Klopp emerging as a leading candidate for the position.
