Najaf: Director of Najaf International Airport, Haider Al-Mayali, chaired a joint meeting with representatives of the airlines operating at the airport. This meeting is part of the early preparations to receive pilgrims arriving to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) from various countries around the world.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, which was attended by directors of relevant departments, the problems and obstacles facing airline representatives during the congestion at the airport during the pilgrimage period were discussed.

Al-Mayali emphasized the airport administration’s commitment to providing all necessary facilities and logistical support to airlines, highlighting the need to intensify efforts to ensure the success of the pilgrims’ delegation plan during the Arbaeen season, which annually witnesses the arrival of millions of visitors.

Najaf International Airport is one of the main air hubs that receives hundreds of daily flights during the Arbaeen pilgrimage season, necessitating special preparations to ensure the provision of services befitting the guests of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
