Najaf Cancer Hospital Donation Campaign Gains Momentum

Najaf: A donation campaign for the Oncology Hospital in Najaf has received widespread support and interaction. The campaign, which was launched via social media, aims to support cancer patients by providing essential supplies and medications, completing operating theaters, and renovating other areas of the hospital.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the initiative was spearheaded by the hospital’s director, Dr. Haider Jaber Al-Shibli. He made a humanitarian appeal on his personal social media page, clarifying that the campaign does not involve collecting monetary donations. Instead, the focus is on in-kind contributions to enhance the hospital’s capabilities and environment for the patients.

Dr. Al-Shibli emphasized that the goal of the campaign is to ensure a dignified and suitable environment for patients, enabling the best possible service. He encouraged potential contributors to submit applications to the hospital administration to obtain the necessary legal and technical approvals from higher authorities.

The appeal has prompted a widespread response in Najaf, with support coming from various segments of society, including media figures, security leaders, and businesspeople. Donations range from modest amounts of 5,000 dinars to substantial contributions reaching millions, highlighting the community’s commitment to this cause.
