Najaf: The Police Command of Najaf Governorate announced today the arrest of one of eight suspects involved in the murder of a local kebab vendor in the Maysan District. The incident followed a prior altercation near the victim’s food stand.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a specialized security team was immediately formed by the police to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crime. Initial investigations led to the suspect confessing to stabbing the victim due to previous disputes between them.

The suspect’s statement has been officially recorded, and he has been referred to the competent judicial authorities to face legal proceedings.
