A statement by the Directorate stated that a qualitative and proactive operation based on accurate intelligence information of the Military Intelligence Directorate confirmed the return of a dangerous terrorist from one of the neighboring countries. He was responsible for bringing the booby-trapped cars into Anbar and Baghdad, and he was transporting ISIS families to Syria in cooperation with his brother.

As a result of this information, a working team was formed from the Military Intelligence Directorate in the Tenth Division, the 39th Infantry Brigade’s intelligence, and the intelligence of the Third Regiment, to monitor the terrorist’s movements and entry into the governorate, track him down, locate him precisely, and raid his whereabouts in the Ramadi market area after setting up a tight ambush and arresting him. He was one of the most wanted by the judiciary according to an arrest warrant in accordance with the provisions of Article 4, of terrorism.
