Najaf – The Najaf Narcotics Control Directorate announced the arrest of drug traffickers after an armed confrontation.

An official source from the Directorate said, “The operation was carried out in partnership with the Najaf Intelligence and Security Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.”

He added, “The most important drug traffickers were arrested in the Kufa district, and after armed resistance, a detonator and a grenade were pulled out of the hand of one of the accused. They were brought under control, and in their possession of approximately 100 grams of crystal, 110 Captagon pills, drug paraphernalia, a scale, a grenade, and a pistol.
