Kirkuk: The National Center for Crisis and Disaster Management has successfully rescued dozens of families who were trapped in the villages of Aqrah, Yas, Shirdar, and Khalu Baziani. The families were isolated after water surrounded the area and the crossings and parts of the roads leading to the villages collapsed in the Qawa Hanjar district, located north of Kirkuk.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Lieutenant General Dr. Jaafar al-Batat, the head of the National Center for Crisis and Disaster Management, announced the successful rescue operations. The families had been trapped due to the adverse conditions that led to the collapse of infrastructure, making it difficult to reach them.

The efforts of the National Center for Crisis and Disaster Management have been instrumental in ensuring the safety of the affected families in the region. The situation in the Qawa Hanjar district remains a focus for ongoing monitoring and assistance to prevent further incidents.
