Baghdad: The National Determination Movement and the National Resolve Alliance have firmly denied reports regarding the arrest of their leader, Thabet al-Abbasi. These reports had been circulating widely on social media, causing a stir among supporters and the general public.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the alliance issued a statement categorically rejecting the rumors. The statement emphasized that the information being spread on various platforms was false and deliberately misleading. The alliance assured the public that Thabet al-Abbasi, who previously served as Defense Minister, is in good health and remains free.

The alliance’s statement criticized those responsible for spreading the rumors, indicating that the judiciary would be the ultimate decider in addressing any attempts to defame or mislead the public. They stressed their commitment to pursuing legal action against those disseminating false information about their leadership.
