National Security Dismantles Forgery Network in Diwaniyah

Diwaniyah: The National Security Service has successfully dismantled a network involved in forgery and fake appointments in Diwaniyah, which included individuals occupying significant roles. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation began when a forged official letter from the governorate’s office to the Directorate of Education was discovered. This led to the arrest of the initial suspect and eventually to the capture of ten additional suspects, all apprehended under judicial warrants.

The Service’s investigations uncovered that the network exploited citizens by advertising fraudulent job positions, charging $5,000 per position. Several forged official documents used in the fraudulent activities to deceive citizens were confiscated from the network members. The suspects have been detained and referred to the appropriate authorities for legal proceedings.
