Baghdad: National Security Service (NSS) detachments carried out two security operations in the capital, Baghdad, which resulted in the dismantling of a criminal network specializing in drug trafficking and the arrest of four suspects.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the service detailed that the first operation was conducted after careful intelligence follow-up. This led to the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of 11 kilograms of crystal meth, along with an unlicensed firearm.

The statement further elaborated on a separate operation where NSS detachments arrested another drug dealer. This operation uncovered a new smuggling method where narcotics were concealed within children’s toys. Quantities of crystal meth were discovered hidden innovatively inside these toys, and a pistol was also found hidden in the suspect’s car.
