Anbar: National Security Service detachments seized large quantities of narcotics and arrested a number of suspects in two special security operations in Anbar Governorate.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the first operation involved the arrest of one of the most dangerous drug dealers wanted by the judiciary, caught red-handed with more than 3,000 Captagon pills and a quantity of crystal in their possession, during an ambush in Ramadi district.
The report further detailed that the second operation targeted a drug warehouse engaged in illegal activities. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Pharmacists Syndicate, more than 30,000 smuggled psychotropic pills and 2,500 Tramadol injections were seized.
The statement indicated that all suspects, along with the seized items, were referred to the competent judicial authorities for legal action.
