Baghdad: The National Social Dialogue Forum in Iraq, organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization and funded by the European Union, kicked off in the capital Baghdad today. The event was marked by the presence of the Minister of Labor, Ahmed Al-Asadi, alongside the advanced ministerial team, members of parliamentary committees, international agencies, and representatives of workers’ and employers’ organizations in Iraq.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the forum is being held under the auspices of the United Nations and the supervision of the Iraqi government. The gathering aims to foster dialogue among various stakeholders to address pressing labor and social issues within the country. The collaborative effort seeks to enhance cooperation and understanding among governmental bodies, international organizations, and local worker and employer representatives.
