Erbil: Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met with the British Ambassador to Iraq, Irfan Siddiq, and his accompanying delegation to discuss the situation in Iraq and ways to move the political process forward. The meeting highlighted the ongoing collaboration between Britain, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing a shared desire to enhance these relations and expand cooperation across various fields.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions included praise for the successful conduct of the Iraqi parliamentary elections, which both parties viewed as a significant step toward strengthening democracy and advancing the political process in Iraq. The meeting also delved into expectations and visions concerning the formation of the next federal government in Iraq.

The Kurdistan Region Presidency noted that the internal situation in the Kurdistan Region and several other issues of mutual interest were also addressed during the meeting.
