Netanyahu and Senior Israeli Officials Conduct Field Tour in Syrian Territory

Jerusalem: The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported on Wednesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir conducted a field tour inside Syrian territory.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the visit comes as part of U.S.-led efforts to advance negotiations on a security agreement between Israel and Syria, amid growing attention to developments on the northern front.

In the same context, Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the tour aims to assess the situation on the ground and monitor recent military developments in the area.

Meanwhile, Hebrew media outlets stated that the Shin Bet, Israeli police, and the Israeli army arrested several residents of northern Israel, including five soldiers and reservists, as well as a number of Syrian civilians.
