Geneva: A third round of trilateral negotiations has begun in Geneva, Switzerland, with representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine participating, amid international anticipation of opportunities for tangible progress toward a peaceful resolution.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the negotiations on the Ukrainian crisis are resuming their third round at the Continental Hotel in Geneva, with representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine participating. This round focuses on discussing ways to de-escalate tensions and address security and humanitarian issues, with hopes of bridging the gaps and opening a practical path toward a sustainable settlement.

The participating delegations arrived to begin the talks after intensive preparations. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin remained in constant contact with the Russian delegation, headed by Vladimir Medinsky, and provided them with detailed instructions before their departure.

For his part, Rustam Umyrov, Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, noted the agreement on a joint agenda, emphasizing the Ukrainian team’s readiness for constructive work and its focus on security and humanitarian issues with the aim of advancing towards a just and lasting peace.
