Santos:Santos FC has officially announced the appointment of Neymar’s father as the Brazilian club’s chief executive. This decision follows an agreement signed on Friday with club president Marcelo Teixeira.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Neymar’s father steps into a position that has been vacant since Pedro Martins left in May 2025. Alongside his role as CEO, he will also oversee the “Meninos da Vila” institute, which manages the careers of young players at the club.
His appointment is particularly significant as it comes just weeks before Santos FC’s presidential elections, set for December 12. Marcelo Teixeira, who is anticipated to seek re-election, is believed to have brought in Neymar’s father to capitalize on his strong connections with the club and his influence on various projects.
