Nine Drug Dealers Arrested in Baghdad Amid Heightened Security Measures

Baghdad: The Military Intelligence Directorate announced today the arrest of nine drug dealers in various areas of the capital, Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Directorate stated that the arrests were made following directives from higher authorities and the Director of Military Intelligence. The efforts emphasized the importance of information exchange and coordination with other security agencies within the Baghdad Operations Command to effectively combat the drug problem. The operations were based on precise intelligence and involved the establishment of surprise checkpoints by the Intelligence and Security Department of the Baghdad Operations Command, in collaboration with other security agencies through joint detachments.

The statement further detailed that the operations carried out this week led to the apprehension of nine drug dealers across different areas of the capital. Additionally, various types of narcotics were seized from the possession of the arrested individuals.
