Nineveh: The Nineveh Narcotics Affairs Directorate announced on Wednesday the arrest of three suspects and the seizure of 50 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the directorate stated in a statement that “in a qualitative intelligence operation that crossed borders, the Nineveh Narcotics Affairs Directorate dealt a blow to drug trafficking networks. In cooperation with the relevant authorities in a neighboring country, it resulted in the seizure of 50 kg of crystal meth and the arrest of three suspects, including a foreign national.”

The directorate emphasized that “the confrontation with drug gangs does not stop at the borders, and that the competent authorities continue to track trafficking networks and coordinate with counterpart agencies regionally and internationally to disrupt supply lines and cut off the way for the promoters of these poisons.”
