Nineveh Governor Announces Construction of Three Overpasses in Mosul to Address Traffic Issues


Nineveh: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil confirmed that work is progressing rapidly on the construction of the al-Sabireen overpass in eastern Mosul, as part of a plan to develop the road network and address traffic congestion.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor al-Dakhil stated that the governorate is actively working on constructing three overpasses in the al-Sabireen, al-Wahda, and al-Ma’moun areas. These infrastructure projects aim to reduce traffic congestion and facilitate the movement of vehicles within Mosul, a city that has experienced significant traffic challenges.



Governor al-Dakhil emphasized that these projects are integral to the governorate’s broader plan to improve infrastructure and enhance transportation and roads. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to the smooth flow of citizens and vehicles, thereby improving the daily commute for residents of Mosul.
