Nineveh: Nineveh Governor Abdul Qadir al-Dakhil announced that the local government has launched service and logistical support convoys from the governorate’s departments towards the routes leading to the holy cities of Karbala and Najaf to contribute to serving pilgrims and Husseini processions during the Arba’een pilgrimage of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Dakhil stated that “this initiative comes within the framework of Nineveh Governorate’s commitment to supporting national and humanitarian efforts aimed at providing the best services to pilgrims by deploying equipment and technical and service personnel to provide the necessary support along the pilgrims’ routes, in coordination with the relevant authorities.”

He added that “Nineveh Governorate has consistently participated actively in supporting the Arba’een pilgrimage every year, based on the values of solidarity and cooperation among Iraqi governorates,” noting that “the governorate’s teams will continue their work throughout the pilgrimage period to ensure the provision of logistical and municipal services that contribute to the success of this massive event.”

He further emphasized that “Nineveh’s participation in these efforts reflects the spirit of loyalty and national unity, and affirms the local government’s commitment to contributing to the success of major religious pilgrimages by providing the necessary resources to serve visitors and enhance cooperation among various government institutions in Iraq.”
