Mosul: A member of the Nineveh Provincial Council has called on the Ministry of Oil to increase the fuel allocation for private gas stations to 36,000 liters per day, aiming to resolve the ongoing fuel crisis in the province. Subhan Jajan, a council member, stressed the need to address the fuel shortage that has been affecting the daily lives of citizens and the functionality of service sectors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Jajan emphasized that increasing the fuel supply will significantly reduce congestion at gas stations and alleviate the shortage of petroleum products. This measure is expected to ensure a consistent supply for vehicles and essential services, helping them meet their daily operational needs.

Jajan highlighted the council's ongoing efforts to monitor the situation in collaboration with relevant authorities. He urged the Ministry of Oil to act swiftly in response to the council's request, especially in light of the rising demand for fuel. He pointed out that the resolution of this crisis would require an increase in daily fuel allocations to private stations, taking into account the population density and consumption levels in Nineveh. This adjustment, Jajan noted, would have a stabilizing effect on the market and enhance public services.
