Tehran: Iran reiterated its refusal to negotiate with Washington unless its conditions are accepted, amid escalating tensions. Ebrahim Azizi, head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Parliament, stated that Tehran will not enter into any negotiations with Washington unless its conditions are met, adding, “Any dialogue lacking this acceptance is purely futile and pointless.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Azizi wrote on his “X” account: “No negotiations. Until Iran’s conditions are accepted, talks remain pointless.” It is worth noting that Tehran and Washington signed a memorandum of understanding on June 18th aimed at ending the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28th.

US President Donald Trump admitted yesterday that “the US military operation against Iran has lasted longer than expected.” Iran’s conditions include a halt to military operations and all attacks on all fronts, including Gaza and Lebanon, the lifting of sanctions and the embargo, and the immediate release of frozen Iranian assets and funds abroad.
