Basra:The North Basra Police Directorate has successfully arrested 14 suspects and seized a cache of medium and light weapons in a recent security operation.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was conducted under the supervision of Major General Ali Mohsen Mashari. The police units targeted several areas within the districts of North Basra, employing a drone to support the extensive security measures.

The Directorate reported that the operation led to the confiscation of 3 medium-caliber machine guns of the BKC type and 6 Kalashnikov rifles. The arrested individuals are wanted by the judiciary, underscoring the significance of the operation in maintaining regional security.
