Kirkuk: North Oil Company announces the cessation of the leak from an oil pipeline and begins its repair. Teams from the North Oil Company stopped an oil leak accompanied by toxic gas from a pipeline connected to well number 46 in the Khabbaz oil field in Kirkuk early this morning, and began repair work on the pipeline.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the North Oil Company had previously announced: “An oil leak accompanied by the emission of hydrogen sulfide gas occurred in the pipeline connected to well number (46) in the Khabbaz oil field.” The company swiftly mobilized teams to the site to halt the leak and address the accompanying emission of toxic gas.

The quick response from the North Oil Company ensured that the situation was controlled without further escalation. The repair work on the pipeline is ongoing, with teams working to ensure the integrity of the infrastructure.
