Baghdad: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Sheikh Hassan al-Asadi, extended his congratulations to the newly elected head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Khalid Jassim, along with his deputies, Muayyad al-Lami and Jabbar Tarad, and other council members who succeeded in the syndicate elections held last Friday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh al-Asadi conveyed his congratulatory message by stating, “I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to you on your victory in the Journalists Syndicate elections, wishing you success in your new roles serving Iraqi journalism.” He highlighted his anticipation that the new syndicate council would play a significant role in enhancing the field of journalism and serving the community of journalists in Iraq.
