Oil Minister Chairs Crisis Cell Meeting to Discuss Export and Derivatives Files


Baghdad: Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair al-Abadi chaired a meeting of the crisis cell on Thursday to address pressing issues related to oil exports and derivatives. During the meeting, the minister highlighted the necessity of focusing on increasing export capacity through both the southern ports and the northern outlet. The aim is to utilize all available resources to support the national economy and secure state revenues.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Abadi emphasized the need to prioritize the provision of petroleum products to ensure their availability for citizens, relevant authorities, and governorates. He underscored the importance of concerted efforts and high-level coordination among all sectors to achieve the ministry’s objectives and plans in the current circumstances. The minister stressed the need to ensure the continuity of supply operations and the consistent pumping of petroleum products to meet domestic consumption demands.
