Oil Minister Confirms Over One Million Barrels Received from Region

Baghdad: Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani announced today that more than one million barrels of oil have been received from the region so far. He also confirmed the loading of the first tanker with the region's oil at the port of Ceyhan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Abdul Ghani stated: "A few days ago, the pumping of oil from the Kurdistan Region towards the port of Ceyhan resumed via the Iraqi-Turkish pipeline after a halt of more than two years on this pipeline." He emphasized that "for the first time, the federal government is receiving oil produced in the region and undertaking its export outside Iraq."

He further mentioned that "the quantities received so far have reached more than one million barrels."
