Oil Minister Emphasizes Ongoing Collaboration at OPEC Meeting to Stabilize Oil Markets

Baghdad: Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi affirmed on Sunday the continued cooperation among participating countries at the OPEC meeting, in line with the goals of achieving stability in oil markets. According to Iraqi News Agency, the ministry released a statement indicating that "Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair Al-Abadi participated in a meeting of countries involved in the voluntary production cuts within the OPEC+ alliance via video conference. During the meeting, participants discussed the latest developments in the oil market and coordination mechanisms among member states." The statement further emphasized that the meeting reaffirmed "the continuation of cooperation among participating countries in line with the goals of achieving stability in oil markets." It also noted the presence of the Director General of the State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) and Iraq's Permanent Representative to OPEC at the meeting.
