Baghdad: Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, actively participated in the 61st meeting of the Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), conducted via videoconference.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Oil released a statement highlighting that the meeting addressed the current state of the oil market. A key focus was on the adherence of participating countries to the Declaration of Cooperation Agreement. The discussions underscored the necessity of full compliance and the importance of rectifying any past production discrepancies to bolster the stability of the global oil market.

The virtual meeting featured the presence of key figures, including the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company, Ali Nizar Al-Shatri, and Iraq’s representative to OPEC, Mohammed Adnan Al-Najjar.
