Oil Ministry Announces Completion of Drilling and Reclaiming 15 Oil Wells During Past Month.


Baghdad: The Iraqi Drilling Company, under the Ministry of Oil, reported the successful drilling and reclaiming of 15 oil wells throughout October. This achievement marks a significant step in Iraq’s ongoing efforts to boost its oil production capabilities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Deputy Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Kadhem Habash Khalif, stated that the company’s technical and engineering teams managed to drill four new oil wells while reclaiming 11 others. These wells are strategically distributed across various oil fields within the country, reflecting the company’s strategic approach to resource management.

Khalif emphasized that these accomplishments are part of the Iraqi Drilling Company’s dedication to increasing oil production while strictly adhering to established timelines. He also highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to implementing ambitious plans aimed at enhancing Iraq’s oil sector. This includes collaboration with both national and international oil
companies to ensure sustained growth and development in the industry.
