Oil Ministry Announces Completion of Drilling and Rehabilitation of 66 Wells in Various Fields


Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil announced today, Monday, the completion of drilling and rehabilitating 66 wells in various fields. The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Hassan Mohammed Hassan, said, according to a statement from the Ministry of Oil: “In implementation of the directives of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, to develop the oil industry in the country, the engineering and technical staff of the Drilling Company completed the drilling of 13 wells and the rehabilitating of 53 oil wells in various fields, from last January until April 21.”



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Director General highlighted that these achievements demonstrate the ability of the company’s technical and engineering teams to execute tasks according to high technical standards and within set timelines. The work was conducted in collaboration with both national and international extraction companies operating in Iraq.



Hassan emphasized the role of the Iraqi Drilling Company as a key national entity in the domain of drilling and well rehabilitation. He attributed this to the company’s extensive experience, state-of-the-art drilling equipment, and skilled workforce, all of which contribute to its capability to efficiently carry out its operations.
