BEIRUT: The cost of gasoline and gas cylinders in Lebanon saw an increase on Tuesday, with 95-octane and 98-octane gasoline prices rising by LBP 4,000 each. Conversely, the price of diesel experienced a slight decrease. The price adjustments come amid ongoing economic challenges in the country.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the latest pricing update sets the cost of 95-octane gasoline at LBP 1,475,000 and 98-octane gasoline at LBP 1,515,000. The price of a gas cylinder rose significantly by LBP 27,000, bringing the total to LBP 1,013,000. In contrast, diesel prices saw a minor reduction of LBP 1,000, now priced at LBP 1,340,000.
The fluctuations in fuel prices are part of broader economic trends in Lebanon, where inflation and currency instability continue to impact the cost of living. The increase in gasoline and gas prices places additional financial pressure on consumers already facing economic hardship.
