Oil Tankers to Transit Strait of Hormuz Under US Protection

Muscat: Under the protection of US forces, oil tankers are preparing to cross the Strait of Hormuz, carrying 7 million barrels of oil. TankerTrackers, a maritime data service, reported this development on Saturday.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, TankerTrackers, which specializes in tracking and monitoring oil shipments and maritime tankers globally via its X platform, detected 17 ship-to-ship oil and gas transfers in the Gulf of Oman on Friday. These transfers involved approximately 24 million barrels.

TankerTrackers confirmed that the area is experiencing significant congestion, with port services operating around the clock to ensure safe and smooth transit operations.
