Basra: The Omani refereeing team arrived in Basra on Saturday to officiate the anticipated match between Iran’s Esteghlal Tehran and Qatar’s Al Sadd. This crucial encounter is scheduled to take place at the Sports City Stadium on the evening of the 14th of this month, as part of the AFC Champions League.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Omani team is composed of several officials, including referee Qasim Matar Ali Al Hatmi. He will be supported by first assistant referee Nasser Salem Abdullah Al Ambusaidi and second assistant referee Al Ghafri Hamed Taleb Saif. Mahmoud Salem Saeed Hamid Al Mujrafi has been appointed as the fourth official for the game.
Additionally, the team includes VAR referee Omar Mubarak Mazroua Al Yaqoubi, who has been newly added to the roster. Hussein Abu Yahya from Lebanon will serve as the AVAR assistant referee. This team will ensure that the match is conducted fairly and in accordance with the rules of the AFC Champions League.
