Baghdad The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, called for the establishment of the “Revival of Mesopotamia” program to confront the dangerous climate changes that are now hitting Iraq hard.

Salih said on World Environment Day, according to a statement by his media office: “It is necessary to establish a program (Recovery of Mesopotamia) to confront the dangerous climate changes that are hitting Iraq hard now, through a comprehensive roadmap that focuses on diversifying the economy, using land, preserving water resources, and mobilizing National government, legislative and civil for this.”
