Hilla: One person died and two others were injured in a hit-and-run accident in central Hilla, the capital of Babylon Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Babylon Traffic Police Media Director, Brigadier General Zaher Mohammed, stated: “A truck driver lost control of his vehicle, resulting in him hitting three people who were standing near the sidewalk on 40th Street in central Hilla.”

He added: “One of the three died instantly, and the other two sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital. The driver was arrested.”
