Baghdad: Our national football team has received an official invitation from FIFA to participate in the 2025 Arab Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed the invitation in a written letter addressed to the President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Dirjal. Infantino expressed his pleasure in extending the invitation to the men’s national football team for the tournament, scheduled to take place at the end of the year. He highlighted the resounding success of the first edition of the Arab Cup in 2021 as a backdrop for this upcoming event.

Infantino further stated his satisfaction at the return of this tournament, which serves to unite the Arab world. The final stage of the competition is set to occur from December 1 to 18.
