Parliament adjourns its session to next Tuesday after reading two bills

Baghdad The House of Representatives, in its eighth session, which was held today under the chairmanship of Speaker of the Council Muhammad Al-Halbousi, adjourned the session to next Tuesday, after completing the reading of two draft laws, and postponing the first reading of the Flag Service Law.

The parliamentary department stated in a statement: the Council completed the first reading of the draft federal civil service law submitted by the financial and legal committees, which aims to modernize the administrative system of the state by reforming the two pillars of the civil service employee and job and unifying their provisions in one comprehensive law that is easy to implement.

During the session, the Council postponed the first reading of the draft law on flag service submitted by the Security and Defense Committee to the next session to study it and thoroughly mature the project.

The House of Representatives completed the first reading of the draft child protection law submitted by the committees of women, family, childhood, legal, endowments, clans, labor and civil society organizations, to guarantee the rights of the child and improve the reality of childhood in the country, to determine the means of protecting those rights and appropriate penalties in case of violation, to provide him with alternative care, secure his needs, and to ensure the implementation of the Convention on Rights of The Child ratified by Iraq by Law No. (3) of 1994. .
