Parliament Postpones Presidential Election Session


Baghdad: The Parliament decided today, Sunday, to postpone its session to elect the President of the Republic, while the winning candidate, Badr al-Fahhal, took the constitutional oath to become a member of Parliament.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision to delay the presidential election session comes amid various political developments. Meanwhile, Badr al-Fahhal’s induction into Parliament marks a significant step in his political career, as he officially assumed his legislative responsibilities.
