Baghdad:According to Iraqi News Agency, Parliament Speaker Haibet Alhalbousi held a meeting on Wednesday with Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, the Head of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition.

The discussion focused on the general situation in the country, covering political and security developments. The importance of enhancing stability, consolidating state sovereignty, and safeguarding national interests was underscored, especially in the context of transitioning to a new phase of relations with international coalition countries. This new phase is characterized by cooperation, coordination, and mutual interests, aimed at preserving Iraq’s sovereignty and national decision-making.

The meeting also reiterated support for the government in implementing its programme and emphasized the significance of completing the cabinet lineup.
