Parliamentary Session Canceled as Quorum Falls Short

BEIRUT: The parliamentary session called by Speaker Nabih Berri was canceled due to an insufficient number of attending members, failing to meet the quorum requirement. The session was intended to elect two secretaries, three commissioners, and members of various parliamentary committees.

According to National News Agency – Lebanon, the absence of enough parliamentarians led to the cancellation of the session. An official statement from the presidency of the council is anticipated to address the situation and possibly outline the next steps. The failure to convene the session highlights ongoing challenges in securing full participation in parliamentary processes.
