Baghdad: The Parliamentary Committee on Labor, Civil Society Organizations, Federal Public Service, Youth and Sports, Culture, and Tourism held a joint meeting today with representatives of the General Federation of Trade Unions and the Federation of Iraqi Industries. The meeting focused on discussing the proposed first amendment to Labor Law No. (37) of 2015.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, representatives from the unions and federations presented their observations and proposals concerning the new amendments to the law. The discussions aimed at unifying their visions and proposals in preparation for the upcoming Civil Dialogue Forum meeting. The objective is to submit these proposals to the parliamentary committee for review and incorporate suitable amendments into the law’s provisions. The goal is to ensure that the amendments align with the needs of the working class and strengthen their rights.
