Baghdad: President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Pavel Talabani arrives in Baghdad today, Tuesday, to engage in discussions with Iraqi leadership.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Talabani’s visit includes meetings with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and several senior Iraqi leaders.

An informed Kurdish source revealed to Rudaw Media Network that Talabani, along with Fuad Hussein, the Foreign Minister and member of the Politburo of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), is scheduled to meet tonight with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and Faiq Zaidan, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council. The discussions are expected to revolve around key political issues and fostering cooperation between the Kurdish and Iraqi leadership.

The source further explained that the engagements will continue into tomorrow, Wednesday, as Pavel Talabani and Fuad Hussein plan to meet with various leaders of Iraqi political parties. These meetings are part of an ongoing effort to strengthen political relationships and dialogue within Iraq.
