Baghdad: The Ministry of Planning recorded a very slight increase in the inflation rate during May 2025, amounting to 0.1% compared to the previous month of April.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry’s official Spokesperson, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, explained in a statement today: “This increase was monitored by the ministry’s General Authority for Statistics and Geographic Information Systems.”

Al-Hindawi added that the annual inflation rate, compared to May 2024, also saw an increase of 1.5%.
