Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Bafel Talabani, have underscored the urgency of fast-tracking the completion of post-election constitutional requirements, especially following the ratification of the election results.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister's Media Office revealed that Al-Sudani hosted Talabani on Saturday. Their discussions spanned the overall situation in the country at multiple levels.
The statement also noted the meeting's focus on the continuous support for government-led reconstruction and development projects, alongside efforts to reinforce stability to benefit citizens across all regions.
Both leaders stressed the critical need for all political factions to advance the electoral process and fulfill its outcomes within the established constitutional deadlines, aiming for political stability and effective execution of the election results.
