Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a phone call from the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The leaders exchanged congratulations and discussed cooperation among Islamic nations to address shared challenges and threats, aiming to enhance security and stability across Islamic countries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the conversation, al-Sudani emphasized Iraq's rejection of threats against Iran and reiterated Iraq's commitment to Iran's security and stability. The dialogue also covered the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in multiple fields to serve the interests of both nations and their citizens.
