New York:Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi highlighted the strong and deep relations between his country and Egypt during a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Kamal Madbouly.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. Al-Zaidi and Madbouly discussed various issues of mutual interest and ways to enhance bilateral relations across different sectors.

Al-Zaidi noted the potential for benefiting from Egypt’s expertise in development and security, as well as infrastructure projects. Meanwhile, Madbouly congratulated Al-Zaidi on his appointment as Prime Minister, invited him to visit Egypt, and proposed holding the fourth session of the Iraqi-Egyptian Joint Committee. He also praised the Iraqi government’s reforms in various areas.
