PM Confirms Continuation of Service Projects in Dhi Qar Governorate


Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani has affirmed the ongoing implementation of service and job-creating projects in Dhi Qar Governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office announced that Al-Sudani launched the infrastructure project for Suq Al-Shuyukh district in Dhi Qar Governorate. The Prime Minister emphasized the commitment to service projects in the region, aimed at fostering a development renaissance that will generate job opportunities and improve economic and living conditions for the residents.



During his visit, the Prime Minister engaged with citizens from Suq Al-Shuyukh, soliciting their input on the ongoing construction and reconstruction efforts. He highlighted the district’s importance, stating, “The district is essential.”



The infrastructure project, with a budget of 505.294 billion dinars, aims to establish integrated service neighborhoods featuring sewage networks, rainwater systems, and pumping and treatment stations. This initiative is expected to enhance the environmental situation and increase green areas by utilizing treated water for irrigation.
