PM Directs a Halt to the Import of Gasoline, Gas Oil, and Kerosene

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has announced a decision to halt the imports of gasoline, kerosene, and white oil. This move comes after the local production of these materials reached levels that exceed domestic consumption, aligning with a broader self-sufficiency plan.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the decision is aimed at supporting the local economy by reducing reliance on imported energy resources. By focusing on domestic production, the government seeks to enhance energy independence and ensure the stability of supply within the country. This strategic shift is part of a larger initiative to strengthen the nation's self-sufficiency in various sectors.
